Our favorite time of the year has begun! We begin to meet the scholarship students for Fall 2024. We wanted to start this 2024, featuring an excellent student who has won an academic scholarship to study at a prestigious U.S. university!
Sol Laosa wins an academic scholarship to study at a university in the United States.
Sol is a young girl from Madrid who at the age of 16 decided to travel to Independence, Cleveland (Ohio) where she attended 1st grade at Independence High School. She is currently finishing her sophomore year at the school that has seen her grow up, Bishop Perello High School.
Her experience was so satisfying that she has decided that she wants to repeat her college education in the United States.
As her name indicates, Sol is one of those girls that from the first moment you talk to her she transmits: energy, brightness, strength, courage, tenacity and firmness.
Eastern Michigan University’s main campus is over 323 acres with residence halls, 18 miles of running trails and a recreation center.
If academically it’s good, on a personal level it’s even better. To her parents she is the smile that lights up their home, and the soundtrack to their lives, as she is always singing. For her little brother she is a reference, a role model, and her “Guardian Angel”.
Her classmates and friends say of her that she is a fighter and that she cannot stand injustice in any of its versions. In addition, Sol loves nature and animals.
Sol cultivates both the sciences and the arts. She has been studying singing, piano and theater since she was 10 years old. For this very reason, she was part of the cast of the Shrek musical where she performed all over the state of Ohio.
Sol’s university of choice was Eastern Michigan University. Eastern Michigan University has more than 15,000 students and 270 student organizations. The main campus is over 323 acres with residence halls and 18 miles of running trails.
Talento y Deporte is very proud to be able to make Sol’s dream come true. Enjoy your academic scholarship to study at a university in the United States!
